Arrived in Viet Nam this afternoon. The flights were very easy. For those of you who know of my travel jinxes, I've decided that Ben is the root of my problem. (ok, knocking on wood, I still need to get back!)
Trey is just amazing. Such a happy and content little guy, we're having so much fun just watching him. He doesn't seem to have any of the anxieties I have heard that some of the other babies (understandably) can have. He was quite comfortable letting me, the newest stranger, hold him and feed him. He fell asleep in moments on my shoulder, it was very sweet.
Cindy's sister Sandy is with us through next Friday, then will head home to Minneapolis for Christmas with her boys. We had lunch at the hotel, and the restaurant staff just love the babies, so we were able to eat while Trey was amused by no less than four waitresses!
Cindy is out re-applying for Trey's passport. She did all of the paperwork yesterday, but for some reason it has to be redone today. We'll have to pick the passport up around the 21st in Saigon, so we're going to take off tomorrow for a beach resort in the South China Sea, a few hours away, and will be there until Thursday. We're renting a bungalow for the 4 of us, we're really looking forward to a few days of 'real vacation' and just goofing off while getting to know Trey!
